The unit that my spectra class and I are currently working on is called D.O.S.E. This is unit about doctoring and what they have to go through with patients. So what we did was come up with one disease for ourselves that we research and learn everything about that one disease. You were then paired up with a partner who would be your "doctor" and they would interview you while you are acting as a patient who has the disease that you picked out and researched. Then you would be the doctor and take notes. After everyone has played both the doctor and the patient, then your lab person or your teacher would give you, the doctor, three possible options that your patient might have. You research all of these options and find out which one matches what your patient tells you has been happening to them. Once you know for sure that that disease is what your patient has, you run a test to make sure. Then you give a presentation on it and find out if you are correct, your partner will do the same thing playing as your doctor. It is a great learning experience as well as a lot of fun.
